![]() Kester Mann, Director at CCS Insight and mobile industry analyst, told TechRadar, "Roaming is a poisonous term for consumers after travellers were hit by exorbitant prices for years. But this is also a far cry from the bad old days. So our customers going on holiday and travelling in the EU will continue to enjoy inclusive roaming.” Still, it’s especially disappointing given that in 2020 EE claimed no changes were coming, saying: “Our customers enjoy inclusive roaming in Europe and beyond, and we don't have any plans to change this based on the Brexit outcome. There are seemingly no caps here, meaning you can presumably use up to unlimited data (if you have an unlimited data plan) for that £2 per day, or with the Roam Abroad Pass. So if you’re planning to roam for more than five days in a given month then that could be a cheaper option. If you’re not on one of these pricey plans then you can also pay £10 for a 30-day Roam Abroad Pass. These are premium plans and the perks you get don’t cost extra, but choosing this would presumably mean you won’t be able to take one of the other optional benefits. #Vodafone mobile broadband international roaming full#One way to avoid these charges is with a 30-day Roam Abroad Pass, which you’ll be able to select as a perk on Smart and Full Works plans. The charges were originally meant to be introduced in January 2022, but the company has now delayed its rollout until March 3, 2022. This only impacts new and upgrading customers who took out an EE plan after July 7, 2021. #Vodafone mobile broadband international roaming free#That’s a big change from the free roaming that was previously offered. They can remain confidently connected on their existing Vodafone number when they travel, and be assured the best of voice and data services," he added.Roaming across Europe (other than Ireland) on EE will soon be a lot more expensive as the company has introduced a £2 per day charge to access your usual allowance of minutes, texts and data when roaming in 47 European destinations. "This completely eliminates the need and hassle of changing SIM cards when travelling abroad and customers can now freely use their local number seamlessly without worrying about any bill shocks or expensive charges. We are making calls and data, both incoming and outgoing, while travelling in these countries completely free," said Sandeep Kataria, Director - Commercial, Vodafone India. "This is the first time ever unlimited international roaming proposition and we are very excited to introduce it for our top three travel destinations - US, Singapore and UAE. Vodafone i-RoamFREE is an international roaming pack which offers home-like tariffs while roaming in 47 countries of the globe. This means customers travelling in the US can even make calls to Hong Kong at no extra charges," the statement said. Also, calls include all incoming calls and outgoing calls anywhere in the world. "There is no cap on the number of calls or amount of high speed data that can be used. This pack is available at price points with options of Rs 5,000 for 30 days, Rs 3,500 for 10 days, Rs 2,500 for seven days and Rs 500 for 24 hours, the company said in a statement here. Vodafone India has launched an unlimited international roaming proposition for travellers to the US, UAE and Singapore in its international roaming pack, Vodafone i-RoamFREE, where customers opting for this pack will not be charged a single additional rupee for calls and data while roaming in these three countries, the company announced on Monday. ![]()
